An old monastery (now a 4 star hotel) pictured from a beautiful hilltop village Orvieto, which is about 1.5 hours from Rome.Well .... Rome was amazing! So much to see (just ask our feet!) lol We spent 12 hours doing "Rome in a day" yesterday .... and it was worth it!
We have all had a religious experience after drinking holy water from the fountain outside the "popes house" and are now running off to join the convent!
Ok now back to reality! .....
Today Kathleen has headed to Pompeii and Karan and I are recovering! We may head down the road shortly and see what we can find! We are having chinese for dinner tonight after finding it near our hotel (we have had enough pasta, pizza and gelati over the last 5 days in Italy!)
Tomorrow we head to Venice for 2 days! Looking forward to a gondola ride on the canals! And more fine weather before heading to Austria which is a little chillier! :-)
