Venice was exactly as imagined ..... gorgeous! Lots of canals weaving through town, beautiful buildings and loads of people (and pigeons)!!
We spent the day there getting lost (which is very easy to do), admiring venetian masks (which Venice is obviously well known for), We even dined in a historic little cafe in the piazza where we almost had to sell our soul to buy a drink ($15 euro for an iced chocolate!) .... But hey Wagner (The famous composer) was a frequent there in the 1800's! So if it was good enough for him .... then it is good enough for us! :-)
It is now Arriverdici to Italy and Guten Tag to Austria!
