Bull fighting Ring in MadridWe have now left Madrid after a 2 day stay (and a hair raising taxi ride from the airport to our hotel....with a very friendly but lead footed taxi driver!) lol
Madrid was very lovely and best of all...... Very reasonably priced compared to London and Paris (so we went shopping and I think all of our wallets are happy we have moved on) :-)
The language barrier is an interesting experience! However, the Spanish are quite friendly and will chat away to you even if you do not uderstand a word they are saying! lol
We visited Valencia today and stopped for lunch (Paella..... as this is where it originated!)
We are now in Castellon for one night before moving on to Barcelona tomorrow for a few nights! The alcohol is very cheap here! (Kathleen just purchased 1 Litre of local wine for .50 euro....thats 72 cents back home!) Granted ..... it does taste like vinegar! lol
Our itinerary has changed from the original ..... we have only just found out we are now going to Salzburg instead of Munich!
